I blame Navision, it's making me do things that I'm not very proud of; web services would end this.

Don't get me wrong integrations are fun and have their own unique challenges, but a lot of my work involves working with web services and making calls to APIs. I miss the science.

I was thinking information centers like Navision, or any other ERP for that matter, present great opportunities for data mining, shopping cart analysis and fraud detection. I'd really like to get into that, maybe when I have some free time I'll look into interfacing Navision with some neural network library or at the very least see what can be done with SQL Server 2005's data mining tools.
